Focus and scope. Since 1957 Vilnius University Faculty of Law has been publishing periodical diamond open access journal Teisė. The scientists from all the main institutions of law and education publish their articles in this journal which represents legal science in Lithuania and abroad.
Editorial board of the journal Teisė (Eng. Law) is comprised of active scientists from Lithuania and abroad, representing Vilnius University, Mykolas Romeris University, NOVA University, Lisbon (Portugal), University of Tromso (Norway), Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt on the Main (Germany), Lodz University (Poland), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Lodz University (Poland), University of Antwerp (Belgium), National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine), University of Naples Federico II (Italy), University of Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Defence (France), Maastricht University (Netherlands).

Articles that do not meet formal requirements of the scientific articles, but discuss the urgent problems of today and are relevant to law and lawyers, are published in the special part of the journal Teisės aktualijos. The publication Teisė is included in the list of Lithuania’s publications of science that are considered to be sufficient for the recognition of academic degree and have been approved by Department of Science and Studies on the Ministry of Education and Science. 

Publication frequency - four volumes per year.

Languages. The journal accepts articles in Lithuanian, English and Russian.

Charges. The journal does not charge article processing charges or submission charges.

We are member of the Initiative for Open Citations (i4OC) which is a multi-stakeholder project to make scholarly citation data openly available to enable the creation of new and better metrics.
We are members of the The Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA) which is a collaboration between scholarly publishers, infrastructure organizations, librarians, researchers and other interested parties to advocate and promote the unrestricted availability of the abstracts of the world's scholarly publications, particularly journal articles and book chapters, in trusted repositories where they are open and machine-accessible.
The journal is a participant of Open Archives Initiative. The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability.
