2024: The Spring of Legal Studies 2024

The Spring of Legal Studies 2024

"The Spring of Legal Studies" is an annual collection of the best student works from the Faculty of Law at Vilnius University. The studies included in this collection were selected and evaluated by an authoritative commission, which first listened to the original presentations by the researchers. Precision, the ability to present a legal issue, identify different arguments for its resolution, juxtapose them, and extract the best solution - these are the qualities of a legal professional necessary for a successful lawyer. However, the lawyer's profession is valued in society not only for these reasons. In a society lost amid different ideologies, interests, and streams of information, people expect not only procedural justice but, above all, value-based justice. A humanistic approach to the individual, respect for personal freedom, understanding of individual vulnerability, and the ability to balance the interests of society with those of the individual - these are qualities without which a legal professional cannot be imagined.
